Soft Idiot
Soft Idiot is the stage name of Philadelphia based songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist Justin Roth. Roth has built his following by self-producing and releasing heartfelt records on a yearly basis since learning to record and mix in his bedroom in 2015. His songwriting and production build on the bones of indie rock and folk music, adding layers of screaming guitars and bubbling synthesizer melodies. By combining well-honed singer-songwriter basics with surprising, and even sometimes abrasive elements, Roth’s music keeps the listener guessing in a way that always feels cohesive.
