Chance Emerson + Theo Kandel ~ Grace Gardner

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMChance EmersonChance Emerson is a 23-year-old, Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter originally from Hong Kong and now residing in Providence, RI.   Whilst enrolled as a student at Brown University, Emerson steadily built up a loyal fanbase amongst both college and indie/folk rock audiences at large through an unrelenting release & touring schedule which saw him sell out countless headline shows as well as support more established artists including Johnnyswim, Eli Young Band, Lawrence, Ripe, Blues Traveler, Brett Dennen and even Nancy Wilson’s Heart!   His recently released 10-track album, Ginkgo, exquisitely showcases the many reasons behind his swift ascent from dorm-room troubadour to nationwide touring phenom; a rise driven as much by his fellow Gen Z/TikTok-engaging peers, as by firmly established artists who have invited him to support them on tour. Ginkgo, which is 100% self-written and produced entirely by Emerson’s good friend Jack Riley, was written “to trace the cyclical nature of young love and was done experimentally in ‘real-time,’ meaning the love songs were written when I was in love, the heartbreak songs were written in times of immense pain, and the songs about rebuilding and falling again were written, well, just a few months ago” explains Emerson. “Ginkgo had to take that long because it took that long for me to get there. I put pen to paper in each phase of my growing up to chase the truest depiction of love and loss I could muster.” The album’s first track House We Share – a song about what happens when two people who are in love take the plunge and move in together – has already crossed over 1 Million streams and received support in many areas, including features in Spotify’s powerful ‘Dinner With Friends’ and ‘Next Gen Singer-Songwriter’ playlists. https://www.chanceemerson.com/Theo KandelWith bold, witty lyricism that brings you to that liminal space between laughter and tears, Theo Kandel has been described as “a modern-day James Taylor, albeit slightly scruffier and a good deal shorter. But maybe also sexier.” (Source pending.) Having amassed over 160k followers across social media and 8M+ worldwide streams, Theo continues to shout into the void, leaving his own fingerpicking-tinged musical fingerprint as he goes. Originally from New York City, he spent six years honing his chops in Nashville before moving to Los Angeles, where he is currently based.Grace GardnerRaised on the outskirts of a Texas city, now living in Philadelphia, Grace Gardner is pushing the boundaries of the singer/songwriter genre. While her music adopts many of the genre’s characteristics, she’s found inspiration in her parents’ taste in 70s and 80s rock, in the folk roots of her southern upbringing, and in the indie-storytelling she found herself returning to most. Taking it one step further: producing all of her own music allows Grace to maintain a personal, authentic touch in each of her pieces. Her lyricism is evocative and emotional, poignantly penning about the joys and tribulations in relationships, in recovery, and in her identity — typically backdropped by fingerpicked acoustic guitar and intricate production. Her inspirations are eclectic powerhouse writers from the 1970s — Carole King, Stevie Nicks, and Joni Mitchell are her “Big 3.”

Alex Cameron & Roy Molloy

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 8:00 PM Alex Cameron & Roy MolloyThe shimmering star of Alex Cameron continues to shine bright from the gutters of show business four albums into his prolific career as an entertainer. And yet, people still have questions. Is he really 6 ft 4 inches tall? Why do none of his suits fit him properly? If he really is Australian, then why does he speak in a strange sort of European world news accent? And while the answers to these questions may or may not be of any interest to anybody – there they remain – shot into the sky like flares as red hot as the notes from his business partner and horn player Roy Molloy’s alto saxophone.https://alkcm.bandcamp.com/album/oxy-musicRentboyRentboy is the musical project of Bobby Brown. After three releases of increasingly lush, Americana-influenced dance pop, Rentboy’s next EP, “Get Worse” is a hard left turn. Valley Queen ~ Joelton Mayfield

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMValley QueenChord of Sympathy ,the sophomore album from Los Angeles band Valley Queen, is a dynamically layered sonic universe of intense range. Here, Carol’s inimitable vocals are as fearlessly fluid as ever—ethereal to thunderous in a note—and fully consuming. Whereas 2018’s Supergiant channeled pains of the past, Chord of Sympathy is borne of the endless present Carol experienced in her bedroom during lockdown, where time collapsed and the future needed to be created. The album marks a definitive transformation in Valley Queen’s approach to writing, arranging, and producing. Making art through a global pandemic, and in the wake of an original band member’s departure, the group rerouted their roles. Instead of sticking to their individual instruments, the trio of Carol, Mike Deluccia, and Neil Wogensen moved around, trying on different hats, sharing them, and reinvigorating the Valley Queen sound in a style newly and truly collaborative. Chord of Sympathy reveals itself with the layered allure of a Russian doll: the album as a whole is one love letter, but each song inside is its own note. It opens with “Falling,” a track that’s mystical glow sets a supernatural tone for the rest of the album. “Someone shared a quote from Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche with me soon after we recorded this one,” Carol shares. “It goes, ‘The bad news was, I was falling. The good news was, there was no ground.’ I think this song is about that. What you think is the ground is the trap door. It was the first song Mike, Neil and I arranged as a three-piece in the studio. It kicked off a whole new era of sound-making for us.” WEBSITEJOELTON MAYFIELDBorn and raised in Marble Falls, TX and based in Nashville, TN since 2017, Joelton Mayfield writes honest, earnest songs about love, loss, vulnerability, and the confusion that comes with exploring a broad spectrum of emotions. Mayfield’s debut EP, I Hope You Make It, was released in 2019 and has garnered airplay on Nashville’s Lighting 100. Joelton has shared the stage with… Briston Maroney, Ezra Furman, The Heavy Heavy, David Ramirez, William Tyler, Caroline Kingsbury, Katy Kirby, Annie DiRusso and many more, logging nearly 100 shows in 2022 – a number he has surpassed already in 2023. https://linktr.ee/joeltonmayfield

Woods ~ Anna St. Louis

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:30 PM Show: 8:00 PMWoodsWoods are in bloom again, inviting you to disappear into a new spectrum of colors and sounds and dreams on Perennial. Formed in Brooklyn in 2004, Woods have matured into a true independent institution, above and below the root, reliably emerging every few years with new music that grows towards the latest sky. Operating the Woodsist label since 2006 and curating the beloved homespun Woodsist Festival for the musical universe they’ve built, Perennial is the sound of a band on the edge of their 20th anniversary and still finding bold new ways to sound like (and challenge) themselves. Perennial grew from a bed of guitar/keyboard/drum loops by Woods head-in-chief Jeremy Earl, a form of winter night meditation that evolved into an unexplored mode of collaborative songwriting. With Earl’s starting points, he and bandmates Jarvis Taveniere and John Andrews convened, first at Earl’s house in New York, then at Panoramic House studio in Stinson Beach, California, site of sessions for 2020’s Strange To Explain. With a view of the sparkling Pacific and tape rolling, they began to build, jamming over the loops, switching instruments, and developing a few dozen building blocks. The album’s resulting 11 songs, 4 of them instrumental, are in the classic Woods mode—shimmering, familiar, fractionally unsettling—but with the half-invisible infinity boxes of Earl’s loops burbling beneath each like a mysterious underground source. From source to seed to bloom, each loop unfolds into something unpredictable, from the jeweled pop of the aching “Little Black Flowers” to the ecstatic starlit freak-beat of “Another Side.” They are blossomings both far-out and comforting, like the Mellotronic cloud-hopping of “Between the Past,” or sometimes just plain comforting, like the widescreen snowglobe fantasia of the instrumental “White Winter Melody,” touched by Connor Gallaher’s pedal steel.https://woodsist.com/woods/ Anna St. LouisAnna St. Louis is a singer-songwriter based mostly in Los Angeles, sometimes in upstate New York. This June she released her sophomore album ‘In The Air’, on Woodsist and Mare records. ‘In The Air’ is a contemplative and serene collection of country folk songs.Instagram | Bandcamp | YouTube

Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMSTOOP KIDSBorn out of frontman Griffin Dean’s affinity for layering old doo-wop records and hip-hop beats, Stoop Kids grew into a genre-bending 5-piece band with elements of Trap, Funk, Metal, Surf, and RnB. Combining infectious vocals, groovy bass lines and bari sax, they have crafted a unique sound that is both familiar and fresh.
After attending college together at Loyola University New Orleans, the band embarked on multiple national tours and amassed over 20 million streams. They later relocated to Nashville where they continue to tour and release music.
Stoop Kids’ latest release, “If it Ain’t You” with Idin Cain marks the second of a string of singles set to be released over the course of the year culminating in their fifth full-length album.InstagramFever DollsFever Dolls is the shape-shifting, label-defying project of producer-songwriter Evan Allis. Founded in 2018 with singer Renn Mulloy, Fever Dolls was born out of a desire to forego the self-seriousness of indie rock in favor of big hooks, clever lyrics, and broad musical range. Reflecting the highs and lows of modern life, Fever Dolls’s sound draws on everything from country folk to heavy metal to present a catalog of material as diverse and varied as its audience. 2020’s The Phantasm at Lake Wallenpaupack EP, produced by Paul Kolderie (Hole, Radiohead), showcased Fever Dolls’ hit-making sensibilities while continuing to push listeners’ expectations of what a single musical act could be, with Vox’s Emily Van Der Werf remarking “Fever Dolls (and songwriter Evan Allis) seem to borrow from an entirely new set of artistic influences on each and every track, while still sounding like themselves.”www.feverdolls.comThe Last Generation on FilmThe Last Generation On Film is a Modern Rock Outfit from Philadelphia. Film School ~ Laveda

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMFilm Schoolhttps://filmschoolmusic.bandcamp.com/album/we-werent-here-2LavedaFounded by duo Ali Genevich (vocals/guitar) and Jake Brooks (vocals/guitar/synths), Laveda released their polished debut album ‘What Happens After’ in 2020. Drawing a post-apocalyptic landscape through layers of colorful sound and ethereal melodies, the band fused polished pop clarity with ‘90s guitar sounds reminiscent of groups like The Sundays or My Bloody Valentine. Dubbed as “a young band with a fully realized voice and perspective” by NYC’s Look At My Records!, the album saw Laveda attract praise across the US and beyond.  Brooks and Genevich spent most of the summer and fall of 2021 in Los Angeles working again with producer Dylan Herman (Beck, Pynkie) on their second full-length LP. Tapping into all the angst and anxiety that accompanies coming-of-age during bleak and uncertain times, ‘A Place You Grew Up In’ acts like a time-capsule of its inception period, exploring a range of themes from the loss of innocence to the struggles of coming to grips with reality. Balancing tender songs edged with slacker-rock guitars and spiralling otherworldly synths, the album sees Laveda spreading their wings with creations that nod to the lyrical intimacy of contemporaries such as Soccer Mommy or Big Thief, with the expansive sonics of classics acts like Slowdive to The Cranberries.  From the record, Laveda have released singles including the sun-drenched “Surprise”, the antsy and ethereal “F***”, the shimmering “Clean”, and latest single “Troy Creeps”; earning support from Brooklyn Vegan, Under The Radar, The Independent, The Revue, The Rodeo Mag, and many more in the process.   Recorded while the band stayed on a ranch just outside of LA in what Genevich describes as “a very therapeutic process”, the album features their full live band for the first time, including Dan Carr (bass) and Joe Taruone (drums). In the lead up to the album’s release, the four-piece have also completed two extensive headline tours across the US.   Currently signed to VT/NY-based label PaperCup Music, Laveda has released ‘A Place You Grew Up In’. An album that draws from the darkest of times and reflects in the half-light that comes with the dawning of adulthood, expect a shimmering, sensory and sensitive album that shows a band whose bounds know no limits.
