Hello June ~ Velvet Rogue ~ Johnny Fordyce

**All shows 21+—valid ID required**Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:30 PMHello June Indie Rock band Hello June first came onto the national scene in 2017 with their first EP, Spruce. From that EP, “Dance” was featured by NPR Music’s Heavy Rotation, putting Hello June into the airwaves of many across the United States. In 2018, Hello June was featured as an NPR Slingshot Artist, alongside Phoebe Bridgers, Snail Mail, Mt. Joy, Jade Bird, and 2017 Slingshot Artist, Big Thief. NPR Music premiered their leading single, “Mars,” and the band received glowing praise from both local and national press alike. Currently, the band is finishing up their second full-length album in Nashville, Tennessee.https://www.wearehellojune.com/Velvet RogueIn 2016, Gina Castanzo was featured on NBC’s The Voice, where she sang Andrew McMahon’s Cecilia and the Satellite. Only seventeen years old at the time, her performance granted her a spot on Team Blake for the show’s tenth season. After The Voice, Gina set off on a journey with the local label Raw Life Records under her new name, Gina Zo. She released two albums: My Weakness and Free Your Soul. Gina is currently the lead singer of the band Velvet Rouge and has performed at an eclectic mix of Philly’s music venues. Joining Gina on stage are Buddy Mazzenga, Joe McEnany, and Andrew Amado. Mazzenga, a veteran Philly drummer, has circulated the Northeast music scene over the past 15 years. Amado, a Philly bassist played in the local band, The Cultour. McEnany, originally found on Craigslist by Zo, can always be seen with a guitar in his hands – influenced by Led Zepplin, he has brought a new edge to the band with his groovy guitar runs and as he likes to call it… “sprinkles”.https://velvetrougeband.com/musicJohnny Fordyce Philadelphia songwriter Johnny Fordyce has been releasing music and performing in the Philly area since 2016. In 2020, his band Tea Head signed with Free Dive Records to record their debut album. In February 2022, he released a self-produced EP titled “jawny.” The songs on the record fuse the aesthetics of Lo-Fi and Indie rock, with clear influences from psychedelic, neo-soul, and indie pop. The songs quickly came to life when lifelong friend and old band mate Andrew Henry met for rehearsal with Aiden Jordan. Johnny had met Aiden at the SODABar and attended U-Arts together. Local music and fellow U-Arts student Eric Juelke joined the group and together they debut their live performance in the Fall of 2022!https://johnnyfordyce.bandcamp.com/releases
Goon ~ Queasy ~ Path

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Goon“Come along and wake up on the way,” sings Goon frontman Kenny Becker, “orange shapes arrange and change again/quiet Isaac in a mild dream.” The lyric evokes the hazy dreamscape spaces occupied by the band’s new album, Hour of Green Evening. Goon began as Becker’s Bandcamp solo project in 2015. At a friend’s encouragement, Becker compiled the best of his tracks and released them as an EP, 2016’s Dusk of Punk. He recruited bandmates from his college buddies and released a second EP, all the while working on the band’s first full-length, 2019’s Heaven is Humming on Partisan Records, followed by the self-released Paint By Numbers 1, a collection of his mid-pandemic home recordings. The evolution of Goon has come to full fruition on Hour of Green Evening. It’s the band’s most complete statement, engaging all aspects of their sound to stunning effect. The album thrums with mystery, with the half-remembered past hazy as dreams, the mixed sense of comfort and longing for freedom so essential to youth. https://open.spotify.com/artist/4NXLuWrShwLG44Had3qhw5?si=USgksUlEQz-HsKQa4rzeSwQueasycorinnemikesteviepavlohttps://queasyphl.bandcamp.com/Path Path is the recording project of Philadelphian Sam Keeler. Since coming together in 2017, Path has released two full length LPs and multiple singles. If you know you know ❦ Path is currently creating a third full length LP. They tour the northeast regularly as a five-piece band featuring Donald McGrath (guitar), Jeff Silverman (bass), Jordan Dion (keyboards) and Jon Tomaro (drums). Spotify Youtube Instagram Bandcamp
Decent Criminal ~ Lost In Society ~ Those Troublemakers

**All shows 21+—valid ID required**Doors: 7PMShow: 7:30PMDecent CriminalWith a sound reminiscent of ‘90s alternative, punk, surf, and power-pop, Northern CA’s Decent Criminal offers catchy, upbeat songs that mercilessly collide with abrasive and often melancholy undertones, to bring forth a style that is both playfully compatible, and inadvertently raw.In 2014, brothers Hunter and Tristan Martinez took what was already an active touring act, and rebuilt it from the ground up, giving the band a new sound and set of players. Hunter, the band’s only original member, switched from guitar/vocals to drums, and the band never skipped a beat. Tristan, who was at one point the band’s fill in bass player, took on the key roles of guitarist and primary songwriter. The two brothers enlisted the services of bassist/vocalist Alex Kouninos, and later guitarist/vocalist Brian Gellman to round out the sound. The new band quickly developed their own style, with unique three part vocal harmony permeating their recordings, and live performances. In 2018, Jesse Hernandez (Caskitt) joined to entourage on bass guitar to complete the current lineup.Since the overhaul, Decent Criminal has released a 7” split w/ Screaming Mimi’s in 2015, a self-titled debut LP in 2016, "Bloom” full length LP via Dodgeball Records in 2017, “Bliss” LP in 2019 (via Bearded Punk/Wiretap Records) and most recent “DC EP” released March 2021. Over the past few years, Decent Criminal has picked up some serious momentum, thanks to a combination of prolific songwriting, and a relentless drive to tour and play live.https://decentcriminal.bandcamp.com/Lost In Society3 piece punk band from Asbury Park, NJhttps://lostinsociety.bandcamp.com/ Those Troublemakershttps://thosetroublemakers.com/

Michael Rault ~ Pearl Charles ~ Born Losers Records

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Michael RaultMichael Rault’s second full-length, It’s A New Day Tonight, has its home in the darkness, like much rock and roll—many of its songs look at nocturnal activities, particularly sleep. “Sleeping and dreaming were attractive concepts,” says Rault. “I was looking for an escape from a lot of frustrating and dissatisfying conditions in my day-to-day life.”The Edmonton-born, Montreal-based singer-songwriter-producer began working on its songs in earnest after winding down the tour supporting his 2015 full-length Living Daylight, but getting to the point of having an album was a process. “It’s crazy to think it was that long ago that I started fully applying myself to the album—there were a lot of holdups along the way,” recalls Rault. “Musically it came out of a period of dissatisfaction, creatively and personally, as I found myself pushing against the limitations of my abilities and approaches to making music.”http://michaelrault.com/site/Pearl CharlesCharles has been playing music since she was 5 years old. At 18, she formed country duo The Driftwood Singers with Christian Lee Hutson, singing and playing guitar and autoharp. At 22, she joined garage rock band The Blank Tapes as drummer. After two fun-filled years immersed in the rock and roll lifestyle, she decided it was time to pursue her own songwriting, and began developing the songs that formed 2015′s eponymous debut EP. Drawn to poppy hooks and catchy choruses, Charles draws on what she loves about the 60s, 70s and 80s while developing her unique style as a solo artist. In 2018, Pearl released debut album, Sleepless Dreamer, which Rough Trade described as “The best country pop we’ve heard in years” and Buzzfeed called her “A modern June Carter meets Lana Del Rey.” With the upcoming release of the follow up, Magic Mirror, out January 15, 2021, Pearl leans into furthering her own brand of country-disco.https://linktr.ee/PearlCharlesBorn Losers RecordsBorn Losers Records is a label from Philly :-)www.bornlosersrecords.com
