Quivers ~ Strawberry Runners ~ Yours Are The Only Ears

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 6:30 PM Show: 7:00 PM Quivers QUIVERS from Melbourne, Australia (via Tasmania) are FINALLY touring their cathartic lyric-driven guitar pop around the USA. Guitars and tape loops that glimmer and glisten. Four distinct male and female voices. Hard jangle about grief, friendship and love. Quivers were originally slated to tour in 2020, but at least the delay has brought a 2nd album, Golden Doubt (out on Ba Da Bing), and a full cover of REM’s Out of Time which the band themselves endorsed with fire emojis. As for Quivers’ sound, Pitchfork calls it “effortlessly tuneful jangle pop” and “like a Go-Betweens with Coachella ambitions”, while NPR’s Otis Hart says Quivers write “earnest earworms, and I am here for every one of them”. You can check out the band’s performance for KEXP. DJ John Richards said the single “You’re Not Always On My Mind” was one of the best songs he’d heard in years and he listened to it “8 times in a row”. Quivers recently supported The Hold Steady at The Croxton in Melbourne, which has only furthered the longing for them to return to the US. It is music for road tripping with your friends and ghosts, and that is what Quivers will do as they traverse the American landscape and pull up to the bumper for 14 or more shows. We can’t wait.https://quiversss.bandcamp.com/Strawberry RunnersStrawberry Runners the music project of songwriter, Emi Night. The band are from New York via Philadelphia and Denver.https://strawberryrunners.bandcamp.com/Yours Are The Only EarsSusannah Cutler is a songwriter and producer raised in both Manhattan and Upstate New York. She began writing songs from a young age and her emotional connection with music never ceased. In 2014, she gave her private universe a public name and began playing shows in Brooklyn as Yours Are the Only Ears. Naming the project created space for Cutler’s collection of deeply personal and surreal poetry to flourish and take new shape. Although spread thin by school in a transformative time in her life, Cutler taught herself how to record out of a desire for autonomy and decided it was time to make her record. “Knock Hard” is a triumphant testament to self love.https://yoursaretheonlyears.bandcamp.com/

Self-described as “sleepy surf rock // aquatic sleep rock”, they blend a garage sound with influences from jazz standards, shoegaze, surf rock, and the occasional electronic sound. They also find themselves to be a “sleepy surf rock” band in New York City, a place not known for its surfing, and famous for never sleeping. Deep Sea Peach Tree thinks it’s long overdue for a nap, and as a surfer who grew up in New York, the melding of the city and the New York surf scene is a constant source of creativity for Kristof and the band. The duo met while attending college in Charleston, South Carolina and began writing songs together soon after. Inspired by everything from indie rock bands of the 2000s to folk singers of the 1960s, the group spent their formative years playing in living rooms, backyards, and basements. With the unwavering support of their friends, those rooms soon turned into sold out shows across the city.
With dreams of broadening their horizons, the duo packed up their things and relocated to Brooklyn, NY at the beginning of 2022. Equipped with a brand new record and road dog dreams, the band has big plans for the future. Whatever happens, Tennis Courts is showing no signs of stopping.http://tenniscourts.bandcamp.com/Frankie MermaidFrankie Mermaid is an indie rock band formed right outside of Philadelphia at Rowan University in 2021. This band thrives on putting on a great live performance, and as the band is currently finishing up recording their first EP, they can’t wait to show you what people can hear on streaming services before the end of the year.

**All shows 21+—valid ID required**Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:30 PMLaytoLayto [aka Paul Catalano] was born and raised in Boston. Being the youngest of five, in the midst of family turmoil and dysfunction, music became an escape. Growing up, Layto was exposed to many different types of music through his parents and even taught himself to play the piano. Gradually, he grew a deep appreciation for melody, and with an already established passion for writing, it was a natural progression. After dropping out of college one credit shy of his degree in English, the focus shifted to his music. In 2018, Layto independently released his debut EP ‘Low Boy’ featuring single “Little Poor Me” which quickly gained traction from Sirius XM’s ALT Nation & now has over 50 million streams worldwide. Now with over 150 million catalog streams, Layto will be moving forward with Position Music Group as a label partner after inking a deal in June 2022. Layto has an intensity about his style, delivery and blending of alt rock, pop, and hip/hop elements. His music has given a voice to the millions who suffer from anxiety and depression.“When we get into the studio to cut a record, I’m always hyperaware of not trying to create something I could picture another artist singing. Josh Cashman ~ Miss Cantaloupe

**All shows 21+—valid ID required**Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:30 PMJosh CashmanJosh Cashman is a natural born storyteller. Growing up in a household that was known for music blaring out of the living room as opposed to the television, he picked up the guitar at 11 and from the first chord he strummed, he knew music was his lifelong devotion. Cashman has come a long way since playing at school assemblies and open mics in his early teens. Now 27, he’s been on multiple international tours throughout North America, released two albums, and has a year ahead that will see him playing to thousands of music lovers across the globe in support of Tash Sultana’s world tour. When the world came to a standstill in March 2020 Cashman locked down and got down to business, writing over 70 songs in a 10 month span. “I wanted this global pause to mean something. I needed to give myself a sense of purpose when there was nothing very positive going on in the world and so I did the only thing I could do which was write, exercise, read and write some more. I’m grateful that I was able to stay motivated and had more than enough time to hone in on my craft and really explore, learn and develop my songwriting and production.” The latest release titled ‘Blue eyes’ is out June 22. “Blue Eyes’ narrative was inspired by a love letter that I wrote to my favourite internet girl as a young teenager. I found old notebooks/lyrics/poems at my parents house, opened one up, felt instant nostalgia and thought, this has to be a song. It’s clever, cute, and probably going to be relatable to many.” Already lauded by Triple J as having an “enchanting performance, charismatic vocals, [all] blended among sublime [with] warm guitar tones [and] a groove that’s hard to ignore,” there’s no telling what new heights Cashman can achieve over this next chapter of his promising career.https://www.instagram.com/joshjcashman/ Miss CantaloupeMiss Cantaloupe is a Philly based dream pop band formed in 2016 by singer/songwriter Christina Klaproth & drummer Sean Youngman. Bandcamp: https://misscantaloupe.bandcamp.com/
