As a band, they are driven by DIY ethics with a goal of helping as many people as possible with their music.Their upbeat, mandolin driven songs encompass the full range of human emotion and cover topics such as love, heartbreak, student loan debt, regret, and overcoming addiction. Their most recent release, “They Can’t Kill Us All (2023)” is a 7” split record with Washington band Sister Wife Sex Strike. It leaves no room for questioning the band’s political message and evolution in sound while still sticking to their acoustic roots. Sister Wife Sex Strike Sister Wife Sex Strike is a Seattle-based anarchist folk band composed of best friends Sister Pigeon and Sister Moth. The band’s name is inspired by real life events: in 2021, Pigeon & Moth were sharing a lover and when they found themselves mutually dissatisfied by his efforts, they went on a sex strike to have their demands met. The band name was derived from this event and an ensuing psilocybin-guided camping trip between the two friends produced their eponymous title track. The name itself a modest mission statement of the band’s intent: lucid in the poetic sense of something bright and radiant. The group formed as teens in the winter of 2014 in the turbulent weeks just prior to the Umbrella Movement. Listening to their blissful, dreamy compositions, it may come as no surprise that these songs carry the mood of their times of inception. With all members of the band working late-night shifts, this led to a rehearsal and recording schedule that found the band playing between midnight and 4am and then crashing together on the studio floor before returning to work early in the AM. NME praised the “shimmering guitars and whirring synthesizers,” while Drowned in Sound raved about the group’s “ethereal grace” and Time Out lauded their “dreamy live performances.” Punchlove The Regulars

As of December 2024, her ten track album “Memory” is out in the world and available to stream everywhere. The isolation of lockdown pushed Stiel to start writing her own music, and by the time the world reopened, she had become adept at capturing her most standout moments – ones that haunted her, ones that comforted her, ones that she lived in for probably too long. Her songwriting is semi-autobiographical, haunting yet playful, and inspired by artists like Andy Shauf, Neko Case and Madison Cunningham. Her debut single “Suburban Nightmare” is about resisting comfort and conformity as we get older. “When I wrote this song, I had just moved and was thinking a lot about (and experiencing) how where we live directly influences our habits and lifestyles and can challenge our values and ideas about the types of people we want to be… So “Suburban Nightmare” was born.” Collaborating with Philly producer and engineer, Matt Poirier (Waxahatchee, Big Thief, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah), her debut EP is set to be released later this year.
