The Schizophonics ~ The Blessed Muthas ~ Civil Rats

**All shows 21+—valid ID required**Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:30 PMThe SchizophonicsOver the last few years, THE SCHIZOPHONICS have built up a formidable reputation around the world as an explosive live act. Tapping into the same unstoppable combination of rock ‘n’ roll energy and showmanship that fueled THE MC5 in the heyday of the Grande Ballroom, their wild live show is heavily influenced by artists like JAMES BROWN, IGGY POP, JIMI HENDRIX, LITTLE RICHARD, and THE SONICS. Singer/guitarist Pat Beers and drummer Lety Beers formed the band in San Diego in 2009 and have worked tirelessly since then, playing hundreds of shows around the globe. In 2013 they were recruited as the backing/opening band for EL VEZ, which helped the band make a name for itself in Europe. Since then, they’ve played in numerous countries, and supported tours by like-minded acts like ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT, LITTLE BARRIE, THE WOGGLES and have opened for the DAMNED, DEVO, HIVES and CAGE THE ELEPHANT. Shindig magazine described their live show “Like watching some insane hybrid of WAYNE KRAMER, JAMES BROWN, and the Tazmanian Devil”. The band is more than just a live act, they’re also committed to writing great memorable songs. Their new album in due in the fall of 2022 along with extensive tour dates. The Schizophonics- hailed by Spotify as the “wildest live band in America” – wouldn’t want it any other way.https://schizophonics.com/bioThe Blessed MuthasThe Blessed Muthas were once described as, “a gang that played music on the side”, by detroit DJ Angela Woman. But, in actuality they are ordinary misfits from the same old mill playing Rock n’ Roll to get their thrills. The Muthas remain true to the early punk rock sounds of the 70’s. Influenced by NYC punk such as the Heartbreakers, thr NY Dolls, and the (NYC) Victims. Also infuenced by bands like the Dead Boys, and Iggy Pop. At times their infuence ventures across the pond to English Punk such as UK Subs, the Damned, and so on. Get it? Gangs don’t always play by the rules. In the last 22 years the Blessed Muthas have opened up for bands such as The Avengers, MC5/DTK, Nikki Corvette, Sonny Vincent, UK Subs, The Waldos, The Breifs, the Bell Rays, the Zeros, the (NYC) Victims, and local Philly punk legends Pure Hell, Ruin, and the Sick Kids. They continue to blaze a trail of red hot hooligan Rock n’ Roll and musical mischief across the stages they encounter. So check them out! They are tighter than Lux Interiors pants!https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=the%20blessed%20muthasCivil RatsWhat do you get when you cross three rodents with a love of music, partying, and nonsense? CIVIL RATS—the latest garage pop sensation sweeping the Philadelphia undeground. Coming together after a series of miseries and misfires from past musical projects, the former members of former bands Molly, Dale, and Isaac started up in the Spring of ’22 with one goal: play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Or is that two goals? Who cares! These rats are here to stay, and they’re here to slay. With a handful of shows in the can and a 6-song demo released on bandcamp, Civil Rats are ready to take the world by storm … without an umbrella. Watchya say? Do you know your Civil Rats? https://thecivilrats.bandcamp.com/

Creature Canyon ~ latchkey kids ~ puppy angst

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Creature CanyonFormed in San Diego, CA, Creature Canyon encapsulates the fiery energy of indie/alternative rock with waves of modern psychedelia. The band consists of members Austin Steele, Ryan Amyot, Kyle Victoria, Aaron Lund, and Luc Fralic. Known for their thrilling and captivating live performances, Creature Canyon has received nods from Billboard, Paste, and many other industry tastemakers. Building upon their prior EPs ‘Life I Know’ and ‘Did You Want That’, their ambitious, forthcoming debut album ‘Remarks’ is a considerable leap forward in their songwriting journey. The album seeks to tackle themes that deal with the emotional conflicts of love and loss through a journey of self-discovery. The songs traverse through organic and synthetic soundscapes that register as both familiar and new. To capture their vision for the album, the band enlisted the virtuosity of producer Christian Lum (Private Island), recording engineer Mike Schuppan (Foster The People, Young the Giant), mixing engineer Jordon Silva (Vance Joy, The Avett Brothers), and mastering engineer Brian Lucey (Cage The Elephant, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys). Creature Canyon’s debut album ‘Remarks’ is set for September 2nd release.Website: http://creaturecanyonmusic.com/latchkey kidscyle, hanny, joey, mihirhttps://open.spotify.com/artist/6bXl33OFvcjrGSQ9F1lrSn?si=Bs2HEdc6QYSoLqsTDyMabgpuppy angstit’s like puppy love but a lil more sadshoegazy/noisy/dream popkind of fun kind of a bummeralyssa + eric + john + danhttps://puppyangst.bandcamp.com/

Michael Rault ~ Pearl Charles ~ Born Losers Records

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Michael RaultMichael Rault’s second full-length, It’s A New Day Tonight, has its home in the darkness, like much rock and roll—many of its songs look at nocturnal activities, particularly sleep. “Sleeping and dreaming were attractive concepts,” says Rault. “I was looking for an escape from a lot of frustrating and dissatisfying conditions in my day-to-day life.”The Edmonton-born, Montreal-based singer-songwriter-producer began working on its songs in earnest after winding down the tour supporting his 2015 full-length Living Daylight, but getting to the point of having an album was a process. “It’s crazy to think it was that long ago that I started fully applying myself to the album—there were a lot of holdups along the way,” recalls Rault. “Musically it came out of a period of dissatisfaction, creatively and personally, as I found myself pushing against the limitations of my abilities and approaches to making music.”http://michaelrault.com/site/Pearl CharlesCharles has been playing music since she was 5 years old. At 18, she formed country duo The Driftwood Singers with Christian Lee Hutson, singing and playing guitar and autoharp. At 22, she joined garage rock band The Blank Tapes as drummer. After two fun-filled years immersed in the rock and roll lifestyle, she decided it was time to pursue her own songwriting, and began developing the songs that formed 2015′s eponymous debut EP.  Drawn to poppy hooks and catchy choruses, Charles draws on what she loves about the 60s, 70s and 80s while developing her unique style as a solo artist. In 2018, Pearl released debut album, Sleepless Dreamer, which Rough Trade described as “The best country pop we’ve heard in years” and Buzzfeed called her “A modern June Carter meets Lana Del Rey.”  With the upcoming release of the follow up, Magic Mirror, out January 15, 2021, Pearl leans into furthering her own brand of country-disco.https://linktr.ee/PearlCharlesBorn Losers RecordsBorn Losers Records is a label from Philly :-)www.bornlosersrecords.com
