The Virginia-born and Los Angeles-based vocalist, rapper, multi-instrumentalist, and artist carves out his own hyper-charged hypnotic hybrid with no shortage of energy and attitude. His commitment to independence and integrity has yielded nearly half-a-billion streams and a devout fan base. Escape from the Zoo ~ Hans Gruber & the Die Hards ~ The Looms ~ Matt Pless

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:30 PM Escape from the ZooIt’s very rare to find music that makes you think, feel and want to mosh simultaneously, but with Countin’ Cards, Escape From The Zoo has struck the perfect balance between all three. It’s something  that the band – the louder, faster, punk project that Days N’ Daze’s Jesse Sendejas co-founded with his wife Veronica – has always done, but never quite to this extent. Much of that is down to the circumstances that led up to the recording of these nine songs – most obviously a global pandemic that allowed for intense self-reflection. That was true for both Sendejas and We The Heathens’ Elliot Lozier, who recorded this album and played bass and drums on it.“I think both of us were sitting at home with not much to do,” recalls Sendejas. “It was probably a really introspective handful of months for everybody, but we both get stuck in our heads a lot. We get hit hard with waves of solipsism, where it feels like we’re the only people on the planet. That’s a weird and scary feeling, and it forces you to look at yourself because that’s the only thing that feels real at the time. So a lot these songs are Elliot and I sorting through thoughts and feelings and trying to make sense of why we’re having them and what they mean.” That solipsistic self-awareness coincided with something equally as influential and important for Sendejas – the fact that, on a tour Days N’ Daze went on just before the pandemic hit, he got sober. So not only do these songs offer up deep and poignant existential questions about life – as well as the social and political constructs that surround and consume it – but they’re also a reflection of Sendejas’ newfound clarity and the path he’s now trying to take.“I’ve definitely not been without my slipups,” he admits. “A lot of the album is about trying to be a better friend and bandmate and person overall, and struggling with wanting to do that really, really badly – but also knowing that instant escape and gratification and comfort is a drink or a pill away. And I’m just trying to reason that in my mind, and find a path that seems doable and one that I can actually stay on for once.” Hans Gruber and the Die HardsHans Gruber and the Die Hards brand of punk/ska mashes genres together like a toddler eating chocolate cake – with messy intensity for maximum enjoyment. From Boston hardcore to Colombian cumbia, southern gospel to crossover thrash, their live shows are filled with pits, sock puppets, conga lines and confusion – if you are nihilistic enough to jump in feet first.  Matt PlessLyrical “hippie punk” folk rock. Elucid ~ Cavalier

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:30 PM ElucidA raw, crackling urgency runs through rapper-producer ELUCID’s new album REVELATOR like an underground power line. There is no space here for sepia-toned reminiscences or indulgent self-mythologizing. Intellectual rabbit holes have been filled in with concrete and rebar; there is nowhere to hide and no off ramp from the audio Autobahn that ELUCID has fashioned—a renegade Robert Moses with gold fronts, bulldozing the homes of the powerful and the complicit. REVELATOR brims with the energy of now, with a refusal to look away. Carpe diem in a murder one mask.  Born in Jamaica, Queens, ELUCID has been on the cutting edge of New York’s underground scene since the mid-2000s. From the beginning, he has defied both convention and expectation. He ran with Okayplayer darlings Tanya Morgan, but his own music eschewed their throwback charm for glitchy noise experiments and bass-swamped culture jamming. His 2016 debut studio project Save Yourself (re-released in a deluxe edition last year) announced him in earnest. But in recent years, his Armand Hammer releases with partner-in-crime billy woods have received significant attention and acclaim. Serving as a followup to his last solo album—2022’s comparatively balmy I Told Bessie—ELUCID hoped to “re-distinguish” himself with REVELATOR, setting himself apart amidst the increasing attention around the music he and his friends are making together. https://elucid.bandcamp.com/album/revelator Cavalier

Blaque Dynamite ~ Corey Bernhard’s Eternity Ensemble

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 8:00 PM Blaque DynamiteBlaque Dynamite, a.k.a. Mike Mitchell, has given validity to the cliche that age is nothing more than a number. He began drumming at age 2, played in his first live recording session at the ripe young age of 7, and had acquired a roster of drum company endorsements by the time he turned 11 years old.   Young Dynamite gained his early development and exposure to music in a church setting. At an early age, he began to create his own music which in turn fueled his relentless passion and respect for the drums. Inevitably, he had become very interested in the pursuit of expanding his knowledge of music and honing his craft. At twelve, he embarked upon the study of music theory. At fourteen, he found himself in the hallways of the renowned Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas in 2009. The school also fostered the amazing talents of Norah Jones, Erykah Badu, and the late Roy Hargrove. Simultaneously, Dynamite took full advantage of attending workshops, master classes, and clinics at colleges and universities all over the country during the summer breaks between tours.  Being gifted to play all genres, Dynamite has been the recipient of a host of accolades and prestigious awards. He has received 14 DownBeat Music Awards and his impressive performance credits include Grammy award-winning artists Christian McBride, Erykah Badu, Thundercat, Michael McDonald, Bob Mintzer, Chrisette Michele, Kamasi Washington, and the legendary Clark Sisters.  In 2012, he was selected to perform on a global stage at the inaugural International Jazz Day Celebration with one of the most influential artist of all time, the iconic Herbie Hancock. Shortly after, Dynamite was reigning the drum throne for the living legend, virtuoso bassist, composer, Stanley Clarke. Then, he graduated high school! (Class of 2013)  Fast forwarding, the Grammy nominated artist Blaque Dynamite has toured five of the seven continents of the world. In 2015, he released his debut album entitled “WiFi” with Dallas-bred band, Raché. His collaborations with artists such as Christian Scott, Derrick Hodge, Doobie Powell, Kierra Sheard, Willow Smith, Talib Kweli, and Jon Bap have been the catalyst in the making of a new band leader. On April 10th, 2020, Blaque Dynamite released his third album, “Time Out” on Dolfin Records, an independent record label out of Dallas.   Corey Bernhard’s Eternity EnsembleFrom touring with superstar jam fusion group Snarky Puppy or hip-hop icons Pusha T and Talib Kweli, to backing up Ed Sheeran on SNL or playing duo with Ariana Grande live on MTV, to playing experimental sets with members of The War on Drugs, to writing and producing with Philadelphia legends Bilal and DJ Jazzy Jeff, it’s hard to fathom how Corey Bernhard has time to show up at his day job as keyboardist on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. One thing is certain: Bernhard is one of his generation’s most dynamic (and busiest) musicians. Hailed by Okayplayer as a “pillar of the Philadelphia music scene,” his solo debut Fool’s Pirouette was released in January 2022 and was featured on NPR’s notable new music playlist. Reviewing his pandemic era collaboration with friend and Philadelphia rapper The Bul Bey, SWTS (2020), WXPN raved that the duo “tackles big themes to a beautiful score.”

The band formed in 2010 in Philadelphia, PA and named themselves after the respective city suburb (not the country.) Philly Live writes “The album, Family Tree exists within a boundary-less space of heavy rock and basement blues. All songs on the full album are explorative, yet relate to each other in different ways, fully emphasizing that familial theme.” 2024’s Boogie Night Blues captures the band’s live energy. “This one is raw, punchy, and will make you want to dance. It’s Grease-flavored, revved up Rocky Horror Picture Show energy. Boogie Night Blues proves Andorra’s chemistry as a live act and commitment to rock and roll, making it their best record yet.” – Tyler Asay linktr.ee/andorramusic
