Sam Capolongo (lead vocals/guitar) founded the band in 2020, releasing the first EP, “Hardly off the Ground” a year later. In 2021, current members Sean Gallagher (guitar) and Nate Gittelman (drums) joined, creating a more diverse sound for their latest project, “On to the Next One.” Immediately following its release, Brad Herring (bass) began performing with the band, adding more stage presence to their high energy live performances. With their late 90’s post-grunge arrangements built around Capolongo’s heartfelt lyrics and folk-pop inspired melodies, Chasing Straights showcases a unique sound capable of hooking fans of a wide variety of genres.
