Over The CounterOver The Counter is a NJ-based collective of eight singers, songwriters, and musicians involved with each other’s projects. Backing Jay Johnson’s 60s-inspired love songs, the collective rocks a groovy modern take on peace, love, and flower power reminiscent of the Grateful Dead, CSNY, and the psychedelic California sound. Come for the vocal harmonies, stay for the dancing, and spread the sunshine.https://open.spotify.com/artist/1BX66F1H2hzgTW8T6udIRUhttps://jaykpjohnson.bandcamp.com/album/four-quartetshttps://www.instagram.com/jaykpjohnson Oldest Sea Formed in 2017 by songwriter Sam Marandola, Oldest Sea began as one woman’s personal exploration of the darker side of experimental folk music. Having newly expanded the project to a full band, Marandola and company now find themselves passing through ethereal corridors and liminal soundscapes with increasingly heavy steps. https://oldestsea1.bandcamp.com/album/strange-and-eternal

Hive ~ Prisoner ~ Oldest Sea

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM HiveFormed in 2014 by guitarist and vocalist Morgan Carpenter and drummer Mike Paradise, Hive draws heavily from Scandinavian D-beat, Pacific Northwestern hardcore punk, and the legendary Minneapolis crust scene of their hometown. Drawing from their collective years in veteran hardcore bands such as Threadbare, Bosnia, Disembodied, and many more dating back to the early 1990’s, Hive has already left a dark cloud over the United States hardcore scene, particularly in the Midwest. In 2015, the band self-recorded and released their first 6 song self titled EP on limited edition cassette and 12” vinyl. The first proper full length LP, Parasitic Twin, was released by Crown And Throne Ltd. in 2017. 2018 saw Hive collaborating on a split 7” with fellow Minneapolis hardcore band No Skin. Most recently, in January of 2019, Hive distilled the same angst and paranoia of their previous efforts while confiscating the claustrophobia and lawlessness of their live shows. The result is Most Vicious Animal, 12 songs of bulldozing hardcore that rarely gives listeners a chance to breathe. Recorded entirely in two days while tracking in the same room together, the band was able to achieve a more brash and aggressive album compared to their previous releases. The bold new album will be released on all formats by known accomplices Crown And Throne Ltd. (vinyl, limited edition cassette, digital) and Seeing Red Records (CD, digital) in August 2019. On the heels of the release of Most Vicious Animal, the band performed numerous live shows from Denver to Philadelphia – including two separate tours with Sect (Southern Lord Records) – the last of which concluded in Baltimore, just days before COVID-19 shut down live music for nearly two years. During the COVID-19 shutdown, Hive remained diligent in practice and writing. A live performance was recorded for Cvlt Nation’s Sonic Unrest Volume 4 – a collection of virtual live sets throughout the pandemic. Shortly after, the band self released the audio from the performance as the Live Viral Armageddon cassette. By mid 2021, the band had completed writing for their third full length album, and began recording in unorthodox ways through the remainder of the year. The birthed result was Spiritual Poverty – a nine song powerhouse grabbing the band’s signature combination of raw punk and unbridled heaviness by the throat, and illogically pushing it all into the red. Hive has carved out their own denomination through underground punk and is welcomed and shunned by their peers in equal measure. Their cabal is undoing and the only haven is death. Aquatic Ape Theory ~ Lower Aetna ~ Mr Multch

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMAquatic Ape TheoryBorn in the depths of Temple University basements, Aquatic Ape Theory is a Philadelphia-based rock band with a powerful attitude. Since their formation in 2013, the Apes have played alongside acts including Thumpasaurus, Snacktime, Haley Jane and the Primates, members of Lotus and more. The 5-piece group blends roots of classic rock, hair metal, funk and prog with heavy improvisation in a sound that can best be described as a “slam band.” Layered with soulful vocals over heavy and funky rhythms, three guitars expertly balance melodic harmonies with stylistic solos. Whether it’s an esoteric groove, poignant melodies, or an absolute shred fest, Aquatic Ape Theory’s focused and electrifying energy delivers an unprecedented experience to listeners.Lower AetnaDrawing on the classic rock of the ’70s, the synth-driven dreamscapes of the ’80s, and the wall-of-sound stadium rock of the 2000s, The Lower Aetna makes music for tailgating the end of the empire. The project’s debut record, Waiting for God to Turn on the Lights, is a startlingly vivid investigation of families, aging, and radicalization in the internet age. Waiting for God to Turn on the Lights is now streaming on all major platforms.www.theloweraetna.comMr Multch

Freedom Hawk ~ Ritual Earth ~ Thunderbird Divine

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Freedom HawkHailing from the tidal, mucky waters of Virginia, this quartet blends heavy riffs, a rolling groove, and soulful guitar melodies to produce the sound that is Freedom Hawk. Their brand of heavy rock coupled with a high energy live show, leaves many wondering if they’ve stepped through a time warp that has taken them to rock’s heyday of the 70’s by the power of their dark music fueled by the sun.Spotify | Instagram | Facebook Ritual EarthMonolithic riffs in a vast soundscape with pounding heavy grooves and vocal hooks. Heavy, Slow, Atmospheric, Dark.https://ritualearthdoom.com/Thunderbird DivineThunderbird Divine comprises four Philly rock veterans who came together in March of 2017 to collaborate and create riff- heavy psychedelia/stoner/doom in the spirit of artists like Monster Magnet, Hawkwind, Flower Travellin’ Band, The MC5, Grand Funk Railroad and many more. The quartet is known to incorporate unconventional instrumental elements like theremin, sitar and various keyboard textures to its recordings, showcasing a range of audio manipulations infrequently experienced in the genre. The band has played steadily since its inception, with regular stops at festivals like The Maryland Doom Festival, The New England Stoner Doom Festival, The Shadow Woods Metal Fest and The Doom and Brews Fest.
