Ceschi Ramos ~ Crazy & The Brains ~ Myles Bullen

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMCESCHI RAMOSAn engaging, theatrical live performer, Ceschi Ramos has treated entire venues like a stage, viewing the middle of the audience or an empty barstool as good a place as any to perform a soul-baring folk song or tongue-twisting rap track. He knows what it is to suffer for his art and is aware that music exploring the ugliness and sorrow of the human condition will always exist on the fringes of a game dominated by disposable escapism and expensive publicists. Yet he still pours everything he has into his craft, and on any given night you can find him tracking vocals at his cousin’s New Haven studio, warmly greeting fans and friends at a dive bar merch booth or rapping double-time in Japan or Europe for audiences that often don’t speak his language, but are able to see the giant heart at the core of it all. He has been in bands described as hardcore, crunk rap, lo-fi synth pop, Latin progressive and psych-jazz-rap. He has crafted abstracted and personal narratives mining the depths of depression and heights of hope. He has slept on countless floors when hotels weren’t in the touring budget and lost girlfriends and jobs all for the love of creating and performing. Ceschi was born with four fingers on his right hand, which served as partial inspiration for the name of his DIY record label, Fake Four, Inc. Those who have worked with him describe Ceschi as one of the most artist-friendly labelheads out there, a rare breed who values art over profit almost to a fault.ceschiramos.comhttps://ceschi.bandcamp.com/IG @ceschiramosTwitter @ceschifacebook.com/ceschiramos Crazy & the BrainsPunk rock, New Jersey.Website Myles BullenMyles Bullen (they) (Absentee Shawnee) is a self-described “migratory, songbird, rap seamstress, art poet” hailing from Portland, ME. SIR E.U ~ Jah$tar ~ Airospace ~ Fast Car Slow Car ~ Ren Cinema

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Sir E.U Washington D.C. emcee whose high-level lyricism and diverse beat selection transcends music genres. The raw genius that emanates from Sir E.U’s live shows is something one truly has to see to believe.   “I’ve seen Sir E.U rap with a Helly Hansen jacket draped over his face. I’ve seen him rap supine on the sidewalk. I’ve seen him rap clutching three microphones in his hand, as if hoping to triple the size of his voice. I once saw him rap in a state of blinky delirium during the final moments of a 25-hour concert when he only ever stopped rhyming to drink water. These performance modes might sound like stunts, but in a cumulative sense, the D.C. rapper appears unable to stop himself from broadening the critic Kodwo Eshun’s beautiful idea of hip-hop as “omni-genre.”   -Washington Post https://sireu.bandcamp.com   Jah$tar The Northeast Philly avant-garde rapper is one of the most versatile artists in the city. Whether he’s rapping over production with intense 808s and cosmic melodies, or a traditional boom-bap beat, Jah$tar is always gonna body his verse. His dedication to remain fiercely independent as a musician represents a new generation of artists who are retaining ownership of their work and building truly authentic following. https://soundcloud.com/jahstarshi   Airospace Airospace is a revolutionary artist, musician and photographer creating multidimensional raps for the people still living in the BPM of sensitivity. If their thought provoking lyrics and elevated, layered beats weren’t enough to bring catharsis – their vocal range is sure to invite the most hesitant and unlikely listener. Born and raised through the traumas of the trenches in Southeast DC, Airospace has made the most beautiful of their harsh reality with the medicine of honest expression. Bridging connections between anime, Japanese culture + HipHop, Airospace influenced the genre we know today as LoFi. https://open.spotify.com/artist/6gnWD8bGyUUn1H9j87F0B   Fast Car Slow Car The Philly-based Electro-indie band has been on a musical tear this past year, captivating every DIY space, club, and venue graced with their presence. With the breakout album Phases Of Departure approaching its one year anniversary, Fast Car Slow Car plans world domination. https://fastcarslowcar.bandcamp.com   Ren Cinema The Northeast Philly creative’s art is as eclectic as it is engaging. Whether it’s video editing, graphic design, acting, or rapping, Ren Cinema is going to find a way to connect with his audience. His 2022 release The MID Mixtape, which was made in a single day and featured over 30 local artists, is just one example of Ren’s pure creative and collaborative energy. https://soundcloud.com/ren-cinem   Sounds for the night will be provided by CYB3R TONIN

Billy Woods ~ ShrapKnel

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 10:00 PM Show: 10:30 PMBilly WoodsNYC rapper billy woods and LA producer Kenny Segal are back with their first collaboration since 2019’s Hiding Places; their new album Maps drops May 5th on Backwoodz Studioz. At heart, Maps is a story of the road, and fittingly, in support of the project, Kenny and woods will be touring together for the first time.ShrapKnelCurly Castro and PremRock; a duo as dissimilar as they are made for each other. The two artists are a veritable study in contrasts and contradictions, Castro was born and raised in Brooklyn but lives in Philadelphia, PremRock grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania but has been in New York since ‘08. Castro’s militant wordplay, reggae-influences, and booming baritone somehow perfectly balance PremRock’s silver-tongued flows, literary allusions and deadpan humor. ShrapKnel is a Venn diagram of ill communications; Schooly D to Stromile Swift. Def Jux to Detlef Schremf. Students of Black Uhuru and Breeze Brewin, Baldwin and Bukowski. Steel sharpens steel and this blade is as sharp as it gets. It has been more than two years since ShrapKnel’s debut album, during which time the duo of Curly Castro and PremRock have individually released successful solo albums with Backwoodz Studioz. Fittingly, these two albums were nothing alike; Castro’s incendiary Little Robert Hutton is an high octane soundclash, a stark contrast to the knotty intimacy of PremRock’s Load Bearing Crow’s Feet. A new ShrapKnel album means a return to foundry and forge, the alchemy of turning two into one. Carbon and Iron make steel, rest assured, there will be no sophomore slump. Metal Lung is the evidence.https://pitchfork.com/thepitch/shrapknel-a-tribe-all-stressed-new-song-listen/

Chiddy Bang ~ Nazeer Art’aud ~ Torito

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMChiddy BangChidera Anamese, now known by his stage name Chiddy Bang, is an American rapper from Philadelphia, PA. Chiddy Bang’s original member makeup disbanded in 2012, when he and his partner released their first studio album, Breakfast. Since splitting from his producer, he has continued release music on his own. Baggage Claim, his second studio album, was released in 2015 and in 2022 he’ll be releasing his long awaited next project.Nazeer Art’audNazeer Art’aud is an independent artist from Philly who began rapping at the age of 12. His earliest vivid memory of falling in love with hip hop, is cruising through Philly in his Uncle June’s green hoopty listening to Gimme the Loot by The Notorious B.I.G. Alex Smith of WXPN described his style as “the epitome of the street stories and outre metaphors of late ‘80s to early ‘90’s hip hop, exhibiting a lyrical quality delivered in the cadence of peak Biggie Smalls but drunk watching Saturday morning cartoons.” Art’aud wants his music is to entertain audiences via dope storytelling, and in return, he just wants them to feel something while traveling on the musical journey that he takes them on. http://linktr.ee/nazeerartaudToritoWhether in his grungy basement studio or on the shoddy stage of a local watering hole, Torito provides a deluge of multisyllabic wit, absurdist imagery, personal musing, and societal reflection. It’s a bit like observing a psychotherapy session in which the shrink foregoes the typical elevator music/Yanni/nature sounds playlist in favor of a carefully curated beat set, and the patient attempts to keep a partial grasp of reality, voices all of his thoughts in complex internal rhyme schemes, and wears a leather bull mask. After self-producing his previous two albums, 2018’s “Fabric Scraps” and 2020’s “Meat Circus”, Torito collaborated with Philly producer Small Professor for 2022’s “Soiled”. https://toritorhymes.bandcamp.com/ https://instagram.com/toritorhymes https://twitter.com/toritorhymes

KNEECAP ~ Belaganas

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM KNEECAPCondemned by politicians, beloved by fans, kicked out of their own gigs, and packing festival tents to overflow, Kneecap are a cultural phenomenon. Since they emerged from a squat in West Belfast (Ireland), Kneecap have created their own genre of Irish punk rap, melding the Irish and English language with electrifying energy, and spearheading a cultural revival. With shows and tracks that flip between satirical performance art and rampageous raves, meet Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara, and DJ Provaí. Crashing into the consciousness with the release of, C.E.A.R.T.A., a track and video inspired by a police chase while protesting for Irish language rights, they’ve proceeded to run rampage across small rooms and massive festivals in Ireland, the UK, and the US, leaving a bemused media and captivated followers in their wake. Heralded by the New York Times, the LA Times, Dazed, Vice, i-D, the Guardian, and others, Kneecap’s irreverent, complex, and potent lyrics speak to a time of political upheaval, youthful rebellion and discontent, and a renewed urge to party. Kneecap is a movement, one about upending preconceptions about language and place, and reimagining what rap can be as a creative and cultural force, rooted in community, craic, and defiance.Belaganashttps://belaganas.bandcamp.com/
