Mortuous ~ Cemetery Filth ~ Bone Weapon

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 8:00 PMMortuoushttps://mortuousdeath.bandcamp.com/Cemetery Filthhttps://cemeteryfilth.bandcamp.com/Bone WeaponPaleolithic Death and Doom manifested by drummer/vocalist Fred Grabosky of Philly fungal death bringers Blood Spore, with Isaac Ryan on guitar and Will Hersh on bass. Aiming to bring things back to a time where survival was the only thing that mattered and war was imminent with beast or man. Where tools and weapons were constructed by only natural elements, and danger was everywhere. …When it was ‘Thrive or Starve’, and kill or be killed.   Pulling influence from the likes of death doom greats like Cianide, Derkéta, Rippikoulu, Autopsy, Coffins and Undergang… while mixing in some unique attributes likened to traditional old school death metal, sludge, and doom. Bone Weapon’s debut release came out on cassette through Transylvanian Recordings February 2023 and on CD through Morbid Chapel Records soon after. The release titled ‘Thrive or Starve’ consists of 3 unrelenting tracks of death and doom guaranteed to make you want to smash a skull on a rock or  lick the blood from a fresh spear wound. Bone Weapon are currently working toward their second offering. 3 new tracks of filth-laden doomed death are to be recorded late spring of 2024, with a release date aimed toward early fall of that year.   They are currently seeking opportunities with labels for the release of these tracks and opportunities for live events. You can contact them at [email protected] and follow them at @Boneweapondeath on Instagram.

deadyellow album release show

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Deadyellow Esoteric Black Metal from Philadelphia. A distinctive blend of beauty and brutality, the music is inspired by post-rock and discordant black metal, with incorporations of shoegaze and dark ambient noise. In reference to the aura of rot and decay, and reflecting the hues of earth, Deadyellow lends realization to the motif of darkness and melancholy. Lyrics explore themes of death, loss, philosophy, and self-identity, often drawing on personal experiences and emotions.https://linktr.ee/deadyellowGenital ShameGenital Shame, experimental black metal from Pittsburgh, PA is the one-person project of Erin Dawson. Touring for “Chronic Illness Wish,” her first full-length, she’ll be accompanied by a full-band, the Chicago post-rock three-piece, Stander. Veering from heavily distorted tremolo picked guitar and distant propulsive drums to gentle, bedroom pop ambience, Genital Shame is a queering of the sonic traditions and musical form of black metal. It is, in Dawson’s words, “an interrogation of how far you can get towards breaking those rules without it becoming something else.”https://genitalshame.bandcamp.com/Stander Stander is a trio restless in their pursuit to unearth new avenues for crafting heavy music. Their compositions unfurl beyond the more rigid confines of genre and subvert tropes with surprising shifts in phrasing, meter, and tone. Dramatic peaks give way to cavernous space before reigniting into serrated tendrils of feedback and chaotic surge. Guitarist Mike Boyd, bassist Derek Shlepr, and drummer Stephen Waller invoke and infuse their curiosity and an abundance of stylistic touchstones into idiosyncratic pieces tempered by keen, deliberate musicianship. Vulnerable is an unflinching reflection on emotional volatility and fragility, from existential dread to stagnance, incalculable grief to unbridled bliss.https://stander.bandcamp.com/musicLástima Lástima is a blackened screamo band from Philadelphia, PA that incorporates musical elements of latin music, classical, black metal and emo. FFO: Envy, Deafheaven, Alcest, Gillian Carterhttps://lastimamusic.bandcamp.com/music

CONAN ~ PSYCHIC TRASH ~ OKTAS

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 8:00 PMCONAN”I guess this is where I’m supposed to wrap up by calling them immortal or making some clever-bul-still-cliché remark about their work living forever. Well fuck that. Everything fucking dies.” – The Obelisk.”A very high recommendation from a longtime fan” – grizzlybutts.com”I’m so excited for the future of this band and all there is to come. A wondrous listen that, in spite of the crushing and trudging weight behind its mass, only finishes too soon.””Evidence of Immortality is a classic Conan record proving the band’s continued ascent like that of a victorious battle hawk. Hail Conan.” – New Noise Magazine”Very much like a recordly flattening Conan” – Metal Hammerhttps://www.hailconan.com/PSYCHIC TRASHFor the better part of the last 15 years, the duo of Max Dameron (guit/vox) and Sam Ford (drums/vox) have been too weird and too wild for this lame-ass planet. After enjoying vagabond stints living in Portland, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn, they now call Detroit home. Here they rebuild, out of the scraps and wreckage of the 21st century, something which casts aside any rules or adherence to banal tropes. Specializing in the unexpected, Max and Sam have wrought an individual sound that’s as much post-Melvins sludge punk as it is futurist prog metal. Their forthcoming self- titled debut, recorded in 2022 at High-Bias in Detroit, puts on display the fruits of their metamorphosis. From the soaring triumphal fuzz of “Uncanny Valley” or the sweep and thrust of “House of Butterflies” their craft is precise, they’re just making up their own shapes to sculpt. Times change and artists mature: now under the name PSYCHIC TRASH, Ford and Dameron come to Riding Easy Records as veterans turning a fresh page, reinvigorated at the prospect of forging a new path and the beneficiaries of about a decade and a half’s slog through the underground. Psychic Trash’s self-titled debut is unmistakably uncompromising, a little theatrical, intermittently manic, and deceptively broad in style for just how much punk rests beneath.https://linktr.ee/psychictrashOKTASAn okta is a unit of measurement used to describe the amount of cloud cover one might experience on any giving day. Oktas began in 2017 by artist and musician Bob Stokes as an exploration into the depths of bass instrumentation. Influences ranging from ambient minimalism to atmospheric black metal to epic doom metal woven together with a cinematic edge. Based in the filth ridden streets of south Philadelphia the lyrical content transports you to a world destroyed by mankind’s own hubris. Plagued with endless war, constant natural disasters and humanity desperate for redemption.https://oktas.bandcamp.com/album/the-finite-and-the-infinitehttps://www.instagram.com/oktasband/
