GLOM ~ HIROE ~ Farewell Days

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMGLOMGlom is an indie-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY by way of Washington, DC. Their sound combines the anthemic choruses of 90s alternative rock, the rich textures of shoegaze, and tight rhythms of late 80s post-punk to create a new yet nostalgic experience.HIROEHIROE (pronounced hero-way), is a Post-Rock band from outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed during the pandemic in late 2020. While HIROE is a newer band, its members are music veterans, with experience touring the United States, Canada, and Japan, in addition to supporting post-rock heavyweights Caspian, Rosetta, The Appleseed Cast, Life and Times, Shiner, Spotlights, El Ten Eleven, and noise rock architects including Autolux, The Locust, Tera Melos, and Sleeping People. HIROE’s debut, ‘Wrought’ was produced by Mario Quintero (Spotlights/Ipecac), mixed by Matt Bayles (Caspian, Mono, Russian Circles, Isis, Pelican) and mastered by Will Yip (Caspian, Circa Survive), resulting in a crushing 5 song debut that showcases a heavy, yet nimble 3 guitar attack, with well-written arrangements, and strong songwriting. The release was met with glowing reviews, making many “Best Of” year-end lists, and was received with enthusiasm by the Post-Rock/Post-Metal community as a welcome new comer to the community, and even meriting a performance slot at this year’s Post Fest (largest Post-Rock festival in America). Drawing inspiration from Mogwai, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Sunny Day Real Estate, Isis, Pelican, and Deftones, they create heavy, heart-crushing soundscapes. HIROE is signed to Pelagic Records, home to Mono, God is an Astronaut, The Ocean Collective, Rosetta, SOM, and Shy, Low. HIROE is here to crush you.Farewell DaysFormed in 2024, Farewell Days are a new band out of Philadelphia blending layers of distorted guitars with haunting atmosphere, modern sensibilities and a strong melodic framework. Fronted by charismatic singer/guitarist C.J. Davis, whose ethereal vocals float over the walls of shimmering guitars and driving beats, each Farewell Days performance is a mesmerizing installment. Drawing inspiration from the dreamy vibes of Shoegaze and the raw energy of Grunge, Farewell Days are poised to become a force in the indie scene for 2024 and beyond.

Part Chimp ~ Terry Gross ~ Vestments

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMPart ChimpIn the psychic wastelands of the 21st century, one particular sonic force looms large. Transcendental like the malignant force that fuels the zombie movies of lore, Part Chimp have made it their business to shake speaker-stacks, fry brains and induce jouissance and tinnitus alike across the UK. Yet whilst their legendary status as primal paragons of the riff has been largely a fixture of the vinyl-stacks and battered amps of the underground, Drool – their fifth and perhaps finest transmission thus far – has other ideas.https://partchimp.bandcamp.com/Terry GrossTerry Gross (2017, San Francisco) creates media artworks and conceptual artworks. Through a rad- ically singular approach that is nevertheless inscribed in the contemporary debate, Terry Gross tries  to create works in which the actual event still has to take place or just has ended: moments evoc- ative of atmosphere and suspense that are not part of a narrative thread. The drama unfolds else- where while the build-up of tension is frozen to become the memory of an event that will never take  place. Their media artworks are saturated with obviousness, mental inertia, clichés and bad jokes. They  question the coerciveness that is derived from the more profound meaning and the superficial aes- thetic appearance of a song. By putting the listener on the wrong track, they use references and  ideas that are so integrated into the process of the composition of the work that they may escape  those who do not take the time to explore how and why their songs may haunt you, like an under- cooked pork chop, long after you’ve heard them.https://terrygrossband.bandcamp.comVestmentsVestments is a New York City goth band for the new century. A Frankenstein’s monster of dark pop melodies, skronky sax, layered synths and languorous violin underpinned with the pathos of country twang and the raw energy of downtown NYC punk, Vestments sounds like if the Bad Seeds and Liars were the house band in a future noir juke joint. Vestments is a collaboration between frontman Christian Lee Buss (Center Divider, Shilpa Ray, Dolores Boys) on vocals, synths and guitar, multi-instrumentalist Steven Welbourne (One Prayer One Sin) on guitar, violin, and vocals, avant-garde composer Nikki D’Agostino (Female Genius, Art Gray Noizz Quintet) on synths and sax, Bloody Rich Hutchins (Live Skull, Shilpa Ray, Art Gray Noizz Quintet) on drums and Caroline Yes (The Clearing, Frankie Rose & the Outs, FLOWN) on bass.https://vestments.bandcamp.com/

Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol ~ Yacht Crashers

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMRickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol“Our catalog has never been short on big dumb riffs, but the idea on this record was to really turn the screw,” says RBBP bassist Aaron Metzdorf. On Big Dumb Riffs, that screw is cranked incredibly tight.  “We just wanted ‘the part’: The opening of Pantera’s ‘Primal Concrete Sledge’, the breakdown in Primus’ ‘Pudding Time’ — the shit that makes you move and lose your mind. Just that part the whole time.”  Across 11 concise, taut songs — most clocking in around 2 minutes or less — Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol demonstrates their skillful ability to blend the merciless low end of Leo Lydon’s 8-string guitar, Aaron Metzdorf’s masterful chordwork on the bass, and Sean St.Germain’s driving drumming.  Hot on the heels of their breakout 5th studio release Doom Wop (2023), Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol returns with Big Dumb Riffs: A whole new variant of the fuzzed out, overdriven, melodic, groovy music they have been making since 2016. While Big Dumb Riffs is decidedly more aggressive and rhythmic, it still retains the overtly melodic feel of Doom Wop. But Leo Lydon’s vocals are considerably more angry and negative (song titles like “1-800-EAT-SHIT” and “Body Bag” should be a clue.)  “The whole writing process was, ‘what if we just played two notes the whole song’,” Metzdorf says. “‘What if we tuned down to almost unusable string tension?’, ‘what if we write a record that will make everyone say ‘wow that is dumb’? Leo and I really move around on stage a lot. Being a dingus is crucial to the groove. All these riffs were designed to allow us to act bigger and dumber on stage.”  Big Dumb Riffs will be available for streaming and download on March 22, 2024. LP to follow in late Spring.https://rickshawbilliesburgerpatrol.bandcamp.com/Yacht CrashersHailing from various ports in the Philadelphia region, the Yacht Crashers are composed of members from a wide spectrum of musical influences and backgrounds. Guitarist Steve Traekner (Dull Knives) and Drummer Kenny Madden (Dull Knives, Quiet Arcs, Aneurysm Rats) conceived of the idea and brought along veteran Bass player Scott Signorino (Sold, Desperate Living) to form the core of the musical unit. Front man and former hip hop MC Jesse Gray (Princes of Babylon, Delicious) rounded out the crew. Taking influences from punk, hardcore, 70s riff rock and 80s cult classic movies, the Crashers have been described in the press as “muscular, powerful punk,” but if you asked them they would probably say they sound more like “powerful, muscular punk.” Never taking themselves too seriously, they bring high energy, brightly colored outfits and good times to every stage they hit, their shows being described as a mix between a Love Boat episode and an orgasmic sonic explosion. If you’re looking for high energy and fun, loud music, the Yacht Crashers have arrived just in time.https://linktr.ee/yachtcrashers

We are a loud band born in a concrete room in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We were born to howl, but we crave silence. And YOU’RE LAUGHING. When will you ever stop?https://www.instagram.com/yourelaughing_Bacon Egg and CheeseBacon egg and cheese is a group of musicians from philadelphia who are also good fwends! Hesitantly, they deliver fuzzy and awkward garage rock with poignant, heartfelt lyrics regarding the experience of being self-described underachieving loners. Citing inspiration from acts like Pixies, Weezer, Blink 182, Nirvana, the group manifested from the notion that rock n’ roll can still be fun and for everyone. We found Casey hanging out in public restrooms. See if you can spot the former child-star! I need help. I have reason to believe that the FBI is after me.
