Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMDay JobDAY JOB is a fairly new band from Birmingham, AL comprised of two individuals who have been playing with one another in a variety of other bands around the area over a long period of time and a recent transplant with a resume of their own. Day Job started with Brenton and Kevin wanting to work on something more aggressive than their two other active bands, Null and Bulging. After jamming with several different drummers, they watched scene newcomer Jake pummel through a live set and found their fit, ultimately landing on what is now Day Job. After spending about 6 months writing and playing their initial shows, the trio recorded a debut EP with Shibby Poole (Thirdface, Yautja) in early 2022. Hex Records took quick notice of the group and a deal for a full length was quickly struck up. As an introduction of sorts, the band recorded a few more tracks which were released through Hex as a limited split tape release with Wipes, also on the Hex label. Day Job then began the writing process for their debut full length, “The Auger”, in February 2023. The whole procedure of writing and recording took just 6 months and in that time the band played live only once so that they could pour everything into writing new material.www.dayjobnoise.bandcamp.comWipesWipes is a band from the Allentown/Bethlehem, PA area that remains quite familiar. That might be because the band started as almost an off-shoot from Tile, who had been blasting eardrums for well over 10 years. When Tile’s guitarist began taking on more adult responsibilities and had less time to devote to the band remaining members Ray Gurz (bass, vocals) and Michael Dumoff (drums) began looking for another guitarist to fill out the band. Soon Wipes was born and began writing music at a furious pace. The band demo’ed a few songs, putting up one on their bandcamp page just to give people an idea of what was going on. Not long after the band did a very limited lathe cut 7” on Limited Appeal Records with two more tracks showcasing what they were up to.King SlenderImagine if Drive Like Jehu tried to make a Portraits of Past worship record. Vicious, yet straight ahead. Three vocalists and a two guitar onslaught with riffs that realize the urgency and depth of what makes emotional hardcore such a vital genre of music.https://www.instagram.com/kingslenderpa/The Scoleri BrothersDespite the cliche of naming their band after characters from an overwhelmingly popular movie that everybody grew up with, The Scoleri Brothers are anything but, mixing many diverse styles of “extreme” music like grind, thrash, hip hop, sludge, power violence and hardcore punk. They’ve been told they sound like Biohazard, a more complicated Minor Threat, early Botch, and mid 90s Jade Tree Records. They’re confused but they’re cool with it.Thescoleribrothers.bandcamp.com

Kasador ~ Longboy

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM KASADORKingston, Ontario band Kasador have never been scared of change. And the three friends at Kasador’s core—Cameron Wyatt (vocals/guitar), Boris Baker (bass), and Stephen Adubofuor (drums)—have been through a lot of it. They’ve woven years of tumult through their mid- and late-20s into something powerful and real: a tight-knit, sincere, and caring rock and roll band hitting full sprint, with their new full-length record about youth, memory, relationships, and how the relentless passage of time shapes and constantly reshapes all of those things. It’s a bright, punkish, emotional guitar-rock record that ultimately tracks the process of learning to be okay with not being okay. After sharing stages with Arkells, July Talk, Sam Roberts Band and The Glorious Sons, and racking up 350,000 spins of their 2019 debut full-length in six months, Kasador recorded their new LP ‘Youth’ with The Glorious Sons’ Brett Emmons producing and Nyles Spencer (Half Moon Run, July Talk) engineering. Vic Florencia (Olivia Rodrigo, Jason Mraz, Five For Fighting) mixed the record and Peter Letros (Beyonce, Duran Duran) mastered. The result on record is an essential document of a band realizing that things won’t—can’t—last forever, and how to make sense of the gap between youthful dreams and very adult realities. It’s all the more reason that the band is ready to burst out of the gate and storm stages across North America with Youth: nothing lasts forever.LongboyLongboy is a post-punk / indie band, based out of South Philly. Bolstered by the unwavering support from Chicago’s music scene, the buzz around new music, and the pure excitement witnessed at SXSW, the interest from labels is voracious and ever-increasing. Over the band’s time together, it has become clear they are comfortable embracing multiple musical extremes at once. Their debut self-released 2022 EP, Whenever, Forever, weaves “together heart-on-sleeve folk, tense, smoldering post punk, and soaring, melodramatic chamber pop rooted in 2000s indie” (Chicago Reader). Lyrically, Kapetan explores the possibility and risks of a life given over to music, interrogating what a life well-lived means to him. The duality rings out in the compositions, evoking rock and folk icons such as Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake. The EP found collective support amongst the local music community, championed by their peers Horsegirl, Lifeguard, Free Range, and more. String Machine ~ Raavi ~ Grocer

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM STRING MACHINE The music of String Machine is rapturous and inviting. You’ll find an undeniable magic within each note, a palpable energy owed in part to its creative process. Hallelujah Hell Yeah is an album of joy, vulnerability, and forgiveness. Through this inventive indie rock, seven friends manage to transport you to the bedrooms, basements, and home studios in which this was all created, conceptualized, and recorded. This recording is the band’s representation of what it means to be grateful that one is alive, regardless of whether that carpe diem spirit is sourced in optimism (“Hallelujah!”) or nihilism (“Hell Yeah!”). It’s a powerful statement that rings especially poignant in such uncertain times. The former solo project of vocalist and guitarist David Beck, String Machine was created when Beck enlisted a number of friends to help create his musical vision. The group, now seven members — Beck (he/him), Laurel Wain (she/her), Nic Temple (he/him), Katie Morrow (she/her), Ian Compton (he/him), Dylan Kersten (he/him), and Mike Law (he/him) — collaborated on two previous records — Youth Fossil and Death of the Neon. String Machine isn’t shy about sharing their heart with you, and that confessional spirit continues on Hallelujah Hell Yeah. “The album was inspired by moments of dealing with anxiety surrounding a lot of personal stuff. Usually, my instinct when anxious is to keep myself busy. Writing songs was the middle ground where I could solve inner-turmoils while feeling productive,” Beck said. Reconnecting with journaling enabled Beck to let down his guard, and for that, Hallelujah Hell Yeah has an uniquely spirited driving force. “This writing experience felt a lot more honest & confessional. Instead of writing blurbs of nonsense & attaching meaning in a subconscious archetypal way, I tried to be more deliberate about having purpose in what I sing/write,” he said. “Every song has a place. I’d write the music and hum melodies until they were catchy enough to be stuck in my head. Putting the words to the music this way was a lot different than what I’d done before.” Each single stands as a snapshot. Opener “Places to Hide,” which finds liftoff in its twanging strings and unexpected use of trumpet was written beachside in Ocean City, Maryland. “Touring In January; was written during a solo tour in the Poconos and uses keys, horns, and a bittersweet view of touring to create a moment of emotive triumph. When it's all pieced together, you’ll feel as if you’re an eighth member of String Machine, paying witness as a band reaches their fullest, glorious potential. Since the release of Death of the Neon, String Machine has garnered praise from publications including Pitchfork and GoldFlakePaint. They’ve played with acts including Ratboys, Wild Pink, Slaughter Beach Dog, Another Michael, and Mandancing.Raavihttps://raavioli.bandcamp.com/https://www.instagram.com/raaviband/Grocerhttps://itsgrocer.bandcamp.com/album/scatter-plot
